Rep. Liz Cheney Defeated in Wyoming Primary by Trump-Backed Harriet Hageman

Harriet Hageman has defeated pro-impeachment House Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, vice-chair of the Jan. 6 committee, in the GOP primary race to represent Wyoming’s at-large congressional district. Cheney was the most senior of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump on a charge of inciting the deadly attack on the Capitol, which was waged by right-wing extremists and other Trump supporters who aimed to disrupt congressional certification of President Biden’s Electoral College victory in the 2020 election.

Cheney lost but she’s not done going after Trump. A man she hates with such a passion that even a lucrative MSNBC deal in the future is something she’d turn down. Her goal like all Nveer-Trumpers is to make sure that Trump never becomes President again and that’s all that matters.
