After speaking with a number of people in the LGBTQ+ community, Macy Gray says she’s reconsidered her opinions about trans women and her previous statements have been “grossly misunderstood.” In an appearance on Today Thursday, the musician explained that she has “learned a lot” about the issue since appearing on Piers Morgan‘s show earlier this week. “I never meant to hurt anybody. I think it takes a lot of courage to be yourself. Anyone who is in the LGBTQ community is a hero,” she told host Hoda Kotb.
