Emma Watson is under attack by netizens after the release of an uncorroborated report alleging that she made an inconsiderate remark against Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling. Tensions between Watson and Harry Potter author Rowling have allegedly been building ever since Rowling came out with a series of controversial anti-trans tweets. While Watson did not directly condemn Rowling for her statements, she did speak out in opposition to Rowling’s stance, saying that trans people “deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned.” Watson also appeared to make a slight toward Rowling when she presented at the BAFTAs this year, saying that she was there “for all the witches.”
