Chris Christie: It’s Trump’s “Right to Pursue Legal Action, But Show Us the Evidence”

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he and other Republicans cannot follow President Trump “blindly” unless he produces evidence to support his claims of voter fraud in the election. He noted that it was a “contentious election” that left some Republicans unsure how to react. “That’s why to me it was so important to say early on to the president: If your base is for not conceding [because] there was voter fraud, then show us,” he said on ABC News’ “This Week.” “Because if you don’t show us, we can’t do this. We can’t back you blindly without evidence.”
